A True Blue Tribune news story reports that NeuroTrax has announced the global availability of BrainCare, a cognitive assessment and report solution engineered to assist clinicians in advancing brain wellness of stroke survivors and traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients. BrainCare is designed to standardize brain wellness and tracking that measures progress toward regaining lost function.

The product’s design offers structured patient assessment and reporting, while also providing the healthcare professional with quality of care metrics related to brain exercises. According to the news story, the BrainCare assessment includes a standardized set of computerized tests intended to pinpoint cognitive and psychosocial factors. The tests address six major areas of memory and thinking, as well as mood and nervousness.

These results are then used to create graphical reports for both the clinician and patient, the news story says. BrainCare also offers patient activity recommendations that are designed to assist healthcare professionals in aligning test results with the latest scientific research regarding brain fitness and wellness.

Robert Pepper, NeuroTrax CEO, states in the news story that, “…Since no two brain injuries are the same, it’s important that patients have access to personalized cognitive assessments and fitness activities to advance their brain wellness. Our vision for BrainCare is to establish a standardized process in assessing and supporting brain wellness. BrainCare is designed to support clinician workflow with a patient-centric solution to help manage and monitor patient brain fitness.”

The news story states that BrainCare is based upon peer-reviewed scientific studies indicating that cognitive exercises performed post-stroke and TBI can improve brain wellness.
