Physical therapist-owned-and-operated Rehab Management Solutions (RMS) will host an educational web event centered on compliant coding and documentation, on May 13. The “Compliance=Confidence: Is Your Practice Effective at Coding & Documentation?” web event aims to help physical therapists understand their professional responsibility of compliant documentation and coding.

Topics slated for discussion during the hour long event include how to avoid the top five audit flags, the five different types of notes and documentation requirements for each, and how to recognize the importance of documenting medical necessity and the need for skilled care. Additionally, the event will cover the ten 97000 Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Code sets.

Registration is available here.

For therapists who are unable to attend the live web event, an RMS news release notes that a recorded version will be available at a later date. A continuing education credit for physical therapists and physical therapist assistants has been submitted for approval in several states.
