According to a recent news release issued by the hospital, Mid America Rehabilitation Hospital will be celebrating 25 years of providing inpatient and outpatient therapy in the Kansas City Area this June. During its 25 years, the hospital has provided therapy services to more than 100,000 patients.

The story of one of its patients, Scott Sameulson, will also be presented at the 25th Anniversary celebration.  Sameulson was treated 22 years ago at the hospital following a motorcycle accident that left him paralyzed, yet he ultimately overcame challenges and regained his independence.

The celebration is scheduled to be held June 5 at the Overland Park, Kan-based Mid America Rehabilitation Hospital. The event is open to the community.

Troy Dedecker, CEO, Mid America Rehabilitation Hospital, articulates the organization’s pride in seeing individuals like Sameulson overcome unexpected challenges, “We have been privileged to serve so many people over the past 25 years and those patient successes and stories are what keep us motivated. We like seeing our patients getting back to their everyday lives and doing the things they love.”

Additionally, the release notes that the celebration will recognize 20- to 25-year employees. Anticipated community guests include Congressman Kevin Yoder and representation from the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce.
