According to a recent news release issued by Invacare Corporation, Elyria, Ohio, it has signed a new multi-year agreement with VGM Group, Inc, headquartered in Waterloo, Iowa.

Mal Mixon, chairman of the board, Invacare Corporation, articulates the company’s excitement in continuing the partnership, particularly since, “Supporting providers has always been a top priority for Invacare, and with the challenges that continue to face the home medical equipment industry, fighting for the rights of independent providers and beneficiaries they serve is as important as it’s ever been,” Mixon says.

Van G. Miller founded VGM Group Inc in 1986 to help independent HME providers maintain their independence. The release notes that VGM negotiates contracts with major HME manufacturers in order to allow its members to be competitive with national chains.

Miller, chief executive officer, VGM Group Inc, emphasizes that, “Our long-standing partnership with Invacare is based on our mutual interest in supporting both the industry and the independent HME provider. Working together makes us stronger and more effective.”
