In a recent news release, DM Systems, manufacturer of Heelift brand boots, announced that it has signed a Skin Breakdown Prevention Contract with Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA) Services, effective through February 2016.

The release notes that GNYHA, founded in 1904, currently serves more than 250 facilities throughout New York, as well as in New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. GNYHA’s core mission centers on “helping hospitals deliver the finest patient care in the most cost-effective way,” according to the release.

Denis Drennan, MD, president and founder of DM Systems Inc, articulates the company’s excitement in the new parternship, and emphasizes, “Our goal of making heel pressure ulcers a true ‘never event’ is well aligned with GNYHA’s dedication to patient care.”

The Evanston, Ill-based company adds in the release that making heel pressure ulcers a true “never” event is a dedicated mission of DM Systems Inc.
