The International Spine and Pain Institute (ISPI) 2014 Clinical Conference: PAIN, featuring Adriaan Louw, is intended to allow physical therapists to learn how to treat chronic pain patients; spending a weekend with experts in the field of pain. According to the OPTP website, the conference will feature a variety of international and nationally recognized speakers on various pain-related topics.

The conference brochure adds that CEUs have been applied for and are pending approval. The CEUs have been applied to the Minnesota State PT Associations for approval of 1.5 contact hours for Friday, 8 hours for the daylong conference Saturday, and 4 hours for the post-conference Sunday.

The conference is intended to allow attendees to leave with immediate clinical application of best-evidence research. Lab sessions, keynote speakers, and interaction with instructors are included in the conference, as well as exclusive handouts of presentations and breakout lab sessions that are attended, and vendors including recruiting and orthopedic products.
