The international, multi-disciplinary RESNA 2014 Annual Conference – Racing Towards Excellence in AT is slated for June 11 to 15 in Indianapolis. According to the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA) website, the conference features instructional courses, plenary speakers, more than 40 practical workshops, research platform and poster sessions, as well as networking opportunities. The courses and workshop presentations are designed to accommodate professionals from “all walks of life” interested in job accommodations, cognitive technologies, and workplace safety.

The website notes that pre-conference instructional courses include “AT and Safety in Agriculturally-Related Workplaces” and “When Optimal Isn’t Possible: Home Modification Tips from the Trenches.”

Workshop presentations are scheduled for June 13 through June 15 and include courses in seating and mobility, computer access, augmentative communication, and more.

The website adds that special interest groups and special events, including RESNA’s annual Developer’s Forum, will also be featured at the conference.
