To combat the “white water” changes in regulatory and reimbursement scenarios in American Healthcare, HydroWorx is hosting a webinar designed to address aquatic therapy program implications linked to the integration of the Affordable Care Act. The webinar is designed to outline concepts of an integrated care delivery network and is scheduled to conclude with a discussion centered on the development of Accountable Care Organizations in the changing environment.

The March 18 webinar, led by Ted Yanchuleff, PT, ATC, will also explore what role aquatic therapy can play in this environment and will discuss potential benefits that aquatic therapy may offer Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs). These benefits, HydroWorx notes, include improved patient outcomes, decreased readmissions, increased compliance, and the ability to progress patients through the entire spectrum of care.

Yanchuleff is the manager of Outpateint Rehab Services for the Pinnacle Health System in Central Pennsylvania. Yanchuleff reportedly controls seven Rehab Outpatient sites in the Harrisburg region, three of which provide aquatic services. He holds a undergraduate degree in physical therapy from the University of Pittsburgh and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Penn State.  Yanchuleff also has more than 30 years of healthcare management experience with large hospital systems and more than 13 years’ experience managing aquatic therapy programs. He has served on the State Board of Physical Therapy for the State of Pennsylvania and has also served as an adjunct professor of physical therapy for the Lebanon Valley College Doctorate Program for the past 10 years.
