Vantage Mobility International (VMI), Phoenix, has been awarded a Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contract by the US Government’s National Acquisition Center. The FSS contact, VMI notes in a recent news release, expedites the process to secure mobility transportation for US military veterans with disabilities.
Jeff Weston, vice president of sales and business development, VMI, states that the contract supports VMI’s mission to assist veterans in securing the highest-quality mobility conversions, “at the best value to our government. More importantly, it will streamline the process which will help the VA reduce the backlog of veterans seeking quality mobility van conversions,” Weston says.
The release reports that the FSS supports the healthcare requirements of the VA and other federal government agencies by providing access to more than 8,000 products. VMI’s FSS contract is intended to support non-service-connected veterans and provide easy access to VMI’s lowered-floor minivan conversions for individuals who qualify. VMI’s patented Northstar and Summit ramp lift system lowered-floor minivan conversions are available through the company’s national dealer network and available on the Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country, Toyota Sienna, and Honda Odyssey.
Weston adds that since 25% of the company’s customers are military veterans. “We want to do everything possible to help these deserving men and women regain their independence. Our FSS contract will help accomplish that by providing overworked VA staff with a simple solution for acquiring a lowered-floor ramp lift system for veterans. It also supports the best network in the mobility industry by directing customers to highly qualified dealers and technicians who support the sales, and after-sale needs of the veteran.”
