In recognition of the April Limb Loss Awareness Month, the staff from the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA), American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics (ABC), and the National Commission on Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE) will participate in a “Lunchtime Charity Walk” April 21. The event is intended to raise awareness and funds for the Amputee Coalition’s youth camp.

The Limb Loss Awareness Month Charity Walk is slated to be held from noon to 1:00 pm in Alexandria, Va. A rain date for the event is set for April 28. The walk will kick off with a photo opportunity in front of 330 John Carlyle St. The event includes lunch after the walk, awards, and special recognition for all participants, supporters, and sponsors.

Participants are required to complete a sign-up form and waiver.
