Performance Health Acquires Bon Vital’ Inc

Performance Health, the manufacturer and marketer of Thera-Band, Biofreeze, Hygenic, Perform, and Cramer branded products, announced its acquisition of Bon Vital’ Inc. According to a Performance Health news release, Bon Vital’ is a formulator, manufacturer, and marketer of topical products that serve the massage therapy and spa professions. The company was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in Hartland, Wis.

Marshall Dahneke, president and CEO of Performance Health, states, “Bon Vital’ is recognized for its broad offering and commitment to superior quality and performance. This common approach and combined commitment to the massage therapy and spa professions create a powerful partnership enabling us to offer more than any other company … more innovation, more education, more practice building, more therapist support.”

Dahneke adds, “Strategically, we plan to combine and leverage the strengths of Performance Health and Bon Vital’ in the massage therapy and spa markets through product bundling, cross-promotions, improved school support, and more value-added services. In addition, we will explore opportunities to promote certain Bon Vital’ products through Performance Health’s international and retail distribution channels.”

The Performance Health news release notes that Thomas Heidenberger, president of Bon Vital’, will continue in a key commercial leadership role in the Performance Health organization. Heidenberger will partner closely with Lynda Solien-Wolfe, who is being promoted to vice president, Massage and Spa. The company will continue to operate out of its Hartland facility.

Heidenberger says, “We are truly thrilled and excited to be part of Performance Health. Since our founding, we have worked hard to make Bon Vital’ a brand leader in the massage therapy and spa industry. Combined with Performance Health, Bon Vital’ will accelerate its advancement and growth both domestically and now internationally.”
