primePrime Healthcare Services, Ontario, Calif, announced in a recent news release that it has completed the Rhode Island-based acquisitions of Landmark Medical Center and the Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island (RHRI).

The release states that through its subsidiaries, Prime Healthcare Services and the non-profit Prime Healthcare Foundation, have more than 30,000 employees and own and operate 25 hospitals.

Prem Reddy, MD, FACC, FCCP, chairman, president and CEO, Prime Healthcare, emphasizes that, “Prime Healthcare looks forward to working with the medical staffs and employees to make these two healthcare facilities the best in Rhode Island and the nation.”

Rick Charest, president and CEO of Landmark Medical Center and RHRI, echoes Reddy’s sentiment, adding that, “With the clinical and operational expertise and financial commitment from Prime Healthcare combined with the dedication of our employees and physicians, our facilities will be able to provide the highest quality healthcare for years to come.”
