A range of globally based exhibitors for REHACARE 2013, slated for September 25 to 28, will provide a representative overview of assistive technologies for independent living in five fully booked exhibition halls, reports a recent news release. The release notes that the international platform is designed for patients with special needs, chronic illnesses, or requiring care. The event will be held at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.

A congress, theme parks, and information events will also be featured, educating attendees about the latest trends in rehabilitation, care, and aging. The release states that countries such as China, Denmark, France, Great Britain, the Netherlands, South Korea, and Taiwan will be represented during the event with individual stands and large national pavilions. The release notes that the event’s exhibits are geared toward experts and patients and their relatives.

Products and services offered are intended to accommodate a wide variety of lifestyles and target groups, including mobility and daily living aids, assistive technology for in and outpatient care, communication technology, barrier-free living, and ideas for leisure, travel and sports. A new attraction at REHACARE 2013 will also offer attendees a test course, allowing visitors to try out wheelchairs and motorized mobility devices. Additional attractions include a tips and products linked to barrier-free building and living, a sport center, as well as aids for unrestricted Internet use focusing on assistive devices and information intended to provide children with disabilities great mobility, communication, and independence.
