bruno-2Specially adapted vehicles yielding from Pennzoil’s “Long Love Cars” campaign were recently presented on Veterans Day to three paralyzed veterans. The vehicles included a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 ST Pickup, equipped with a Bruno Out-Rider Lift, designed to lift and store wheelchairs, scooters, or power wheelchairs in the truck bed.

The vehicle also features a Bruno Stow-Away powered transfer seat that rises to the desire transfer height, then up to vehicle seat height, Clock Conversions AccessATop (power tilt cap), and a set of hand controls. Bruno Independent Living Aids, Oconomowoc, Wis, Ability Center, Phoenix, Ariz, Clock Conversions, Grand Rapids, Mich, and United Access, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, reportedly supported the campaign and Pennzoil’s partnership with the Paralyzed Veterans of America for the Mission: ABLE Program.

The four firms equipped the Dodge Ram for Air Force veteran Jason Morgan, motivational speaker and youth football coach. Bruno Independent Living Aids notes in a news release that United Access provided the initial assessment in order to determine the optimal equipment for the new vehicle. Ability Center assisted in the installation of all the equipment and offered on-site support during the vehicle presentation ceremony.
