DRCDynamics Research Corporation, (DRC), Andover, Mass, announced that it been awarded two new task order contracts that will fund traumatic brain injury (TBI) and psychological health research to support the Military Health System’s Defense Centers. The Defense Centers of Excellence, established in 2007, aims to improve the lives of the nation’s service members, families, and veterans, by advancing TBI prevention and psychological health care across the military health system.

The contracts will provide a combined $19.3 million in funds, according to a recent news release. DRC reports that under the first task order, it received a $4.4 million contract with a period of performance of two years to pinpoint and develop TBI and psychological health treatment best practices.

The second task order awarded the company a $14.9 million contract with a period of performance of one base year and four option years. DRC notes that during this time, it will document the results of TBI and psychological health and non-clinical programs, supporting clinical conferences, and providing technical assistance programs.
