According to a recent news release, the National MS Society recently presented a “Partner in MS Care” plaque to the Linda E. Cardinale MS Center at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold, NJ. The plaque recognizes the facility’s partnership in the “Partners in MS Care” National MS Society program.

The program includes all health care professionals in the areas of neurology, mental health, and rehabilitation, in addition to sites that offer comprehensive, coordinated care. To be included in the program, the release notes that individuals and centers are required to demonstrate multiple sclerosis (MS) knowledge and a professional focus on high-quality MS care.

The release reports that the Linda E. Cardinale MS Center was developed jointly with CentraState Medical Center and the National MS Society, New Jersey Metro Chapter. The center is designed to offer diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and support for MS patients and their families. The center also offers patients a MS Wellness Program, whose design is based upon those at the University of Southern California (USC) and University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).
