According to a recent news release, Cambridge, Mass-based InVivo Therapeutics Holdings Corp, developer of technologies engineered to treat spinal cord injuries (SCIs), announced that its chief science officer, Ed Wirth, MD, PhD, is slated to speak at the Clinical Outlooks for Regenerative Medicine Conference, June 19.

 InVivo Therapeutics Holdings Corp notes that its primary focus centers on using polymers as a platform technology to develop treatments to improve function in individuals paralyzed as a result of traumatic SCI. The release notes that Wirth will appear on the “Neurodegenerative Disease and Spinal Cord Injury Panel.” The organization of the conference is a joint effort by Alliance for Regenerative Medicine and the Harvard Stem Cell Institute and will reportedly be held at the Starr Center in the Schepens Eye Research Institute, Boston, Mass.
