Rowbike, Agoura Hills, Calif, a hybrid rowing machine and bicycle with seven adjustable speeds, now features stability wheels for a steadier ride.

The wheels may prove helpful for amputees, by allowing riders to position themselves without losing balance.

The bike may also be useful for individuals who have limited or no movement in their legs, allowing them to experience a sense of biking while toning their arms and abdominal muscles.

Unlike a traditional bicycle, its gliding motions help avoid putting pressure on the rider’s joints, making it useful for physical rehabilitation, the company says.

The bike was created by Rollerblade founder and inventor Scott Olson.
