Altimate Medical and ABC’s "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" have teamed up to provide 9-year-old  James Perkins, who has cerebral palsy, with an EasyStand Evolv standing frame. James and his mother, Ju-Juana Latif, and the rest of James’ family had a new accessible home built for them by "Extreme Home Makeover." Their story aired March 30 on ABC.

Latif, a high school drop out who once lived in a homeless shelter was able to purchase a home but it was in disrepair and lacked wheelchair access for James.

The Latif’s new accessible home includes a therapy room for James full of equipment to provide therapeutic activities recommended by James’ doctors and therapists, including the EasyStand Evolv stander, donated by Altimate Medical. The EasyStand Evolv is designed to allow James to stand up for the medical and psychological benefits that are intended to further his development.

Altimate Medical reports that the equipment donation to "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" characterizes the firm’s support of charitable organizations that directly benefit people with disabilities. This is the fourth time that an EasyStand product has been featured on "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."
