The call for papers (presentations) is now open on-line for direct submissions for the 2009 International Seating Symposium scheduled March 12 through March 14, 2009.

The symposium will include scientific and clinical papers, a research forum, in-depth workshops, panel sessions, and extensive exhibit halls. Presentations should address the seating and wheeled mobility issues of people with disabilities across the lifespan such as neuromuscular disorders, spinal cord injury and diseases of the spinal cord, orthopedic conditions, systemic conditions, obesity, or polytrauma. Proposals that address service delivery issues including evidence-based practice, models of practice, policy and funding, documentation, and outcomes are also very much encouraged.

Those interested are encouraged to visit the website: http://www.iss.pitt.edu/

At the end of the call for papers information there is a link to the submission page. Users who click on the link will be asked to create an account (user profile). Once completed users may access the abstract submission page.

Individuals who have questions or ideas to discuss are invited to e-mail Mark Schmeler, Course Director, at: [email protected]
