Randy Doherty, CEO of HealthSouth Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital, recently received a 2-year appointment to the Massachusetts Hospital Association Board.
Since joining Braintree Hospitals staff in 1993, Doherty has held the positions of controller, vice president of finance, and chief financial officer, before he was promoted to his current position of CEO in July 2000.
He is a certified public accountant and is also a member of the AICPA, MSCPA, and HFMA, from which he received the Follimer Bronze Merit Award for outstanding service. As the newest board member of the Massachusetts Hospital Association, Doherty will assist MHA as it represents and advocates for the collective interests of its member hospitals and health systems, and supports its efforts to provide high-quality, cost-effective, accessible care.
Bridgewater resident Doherty majored in business administration at Northeastern University.
